Chuck's Cafe - Princeton
In the days of yore before every restaurant in America offered Buffalo wings, Chuck's was about the only place outside of Buffalo you could find them. In high school we would sneak off campus at least once a week during free period for a Chuck's run. They are the first wings I ever had, and to this day, still the best. I do not go back to New Jersey without scheduling a stop at Chuck's. It's mandatory.

Taylor Grocery
The quintessential hidden gem. Located about ten minutes out of Oxford, from the outside Taylor Grocery looks like anything other than a restaurant. Pretty much looks that way on the inside, too. It's an old general store / gas station converted just enough to call itself a restaurant. You would never even consider eating at this place without knowing that Taylor Grocery is the preeminent purveyor of catfish in the southeast. I never even liked catfish until I had it at Taylor. Whatever they’re doing to that fish, they need to keep doing it because it is deeeeeee-lish! Have the sausage and cheese appetizer and the fried catfish and celebrate the south!
City Grocery - Oxford, MS
If you're ever in Oxford, MS, have dinner here. Order the shrimp and grits. Then send me a thank you.

Snack Jack's - Flagler Beach
Snack Jack's looks like the set of a 1960's Frankie Avalon surf movie. It's the quintessential beach shack with tables out on the deck and tasty seafood. Just take A1A North out of Daytona and you'll see it on the right before you hit the Flagler Pier. Order the grouper sandwich. I LOVE this place!

Drover's Inn - W.V.
Drover’s Inn is the ‘other place’ for Bethany College students. Awesome home cooked meals and the best wings in West Virginia. Check out the small tavern in the cellar. Proprietor Mark Cooper is a friendly and fantastic host with an uncanny ability to remember names.
