The Greater Good
Believe it or not, The Poet has concerns that stretch far beyond the next game. Whenever I get the notion to whine about my work day, I remind myself that when you get right down to it, I really don’t work for a living. I mean let’s face it, I coach soccer for Heaven’s sake. Yes it's time consuming and I take it seriously, but it's hardly work. I am lucky and I am blessed and if I start to lose perspective of that, all I have to do is remind myself that there are so, so many who would trade their life for mine in an instant and be happy about it for eternity.
There are a wide array of non-profits and charities lending a hand to those who truly need it. On this page you’ll find some of the causes near to my heart. I encourage you to learn more about them, get involved, and give what you can... for others, for yourself, and for the greater good.
